Senior Designer

Spec Ops is looking for a motivated individual to play an important role on our Product Development and Design team. This position requires a proficiency in solid modeling and design using lightweight structural tubing, sheet metal, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems, and the ability to manage multiple development projects through first article production. The successful candidate will have at least five years of directly related work experience or ten years of experience in the design and development of similar products.

Sr. Designer will provide solid modeling, finished drawing, BOM, and drawing review support for new product development and modifications to existing products. Other duties include rendering, system diagram generation, component selection, general drafting, and drawing checking.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate engineering technical data and drawings

  • Proficient with 3D solid modeling. AutoDesk Inventor and Vault preferred

  • Attends meetings, documents findings, and completes work as directed

  • Demonstration of good communications skills, both oral and written, and ability to work with engineers, technicians, and designers

  • Competent with Microsoft Office tools

  • US Citizenship Required

Education And Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher education - candidates currently working to complete a degree program will be considered

  • Mechanical and electrical certifications and licenses are a plus
