Design Modeling and Simulation
Spec Ops has a special emphasis on
complex design and modeling services for our federal and
commercial customers. Our design group represents all the
best in “State of the Art” Computer Aided Design
and Computer Aided Manufacturing” (CADCAM). We
utilize three-dimensional solid modeling to develop new design
concepts for our customers (including design build,
build-to-print, etc) as well as our internal R&D programs.
Modifications and changes are
accomplished in virtual space and enable faster, cost effective
and highly optimized product development. The solid model
concepts are built from a series of components assembled as
they would be in reality. This ensures that the computer
model is a virtual copy of the finished product, even modeling
the physical relationship of the parts. Our group produces
digital files of each component and each file is sent directly
to CADCAM systems for production thus ensuring the finished
parts will work in their intended relationship.
SOFTWARE TOOLS
Autodesk Inventor 10

Spec Ops mechanical engineers utilize
NASTRAN and COSMOWorks as their Finite Element Analysis tools
for Computer Aided Engineering design support for modeling
difficult designs.
COMPLIANCE
Spec Ops provides compliance with
the following standards at all levels:
