11’ x 17’ Deployable MEGAWALL
Command and Control Center Commercially Available
June 5, 2006
Spec Ops, Inc announced today that it is
launching its MEGAWALL Command and Control Center family of
products. This product line can be utilized for Defense,
Homeland Security, Intelligence, Emergency Management and First
Responder markets.
Spec Ops Inc has implemented the
technology of a projector based soft edge blend Command and
Control megawall and inserted the system within our ruggedized
deployable, light weight frame sets. We have created a very
powerful display device that is highly durable, lightweight,
transportable, scalable and takes very little time and man
power to setup and strike. This initial system was designed for
10th Mountain division, Brigades and above, based on their
requirements for deployability, mobility and durability. The
projectors utilize a technology called single chip DLP. This
technology is far superior for Military applications and the
capabilities of this projector meet every requirement for this
system. First and foremost, this projector is rated for a true
24/7 application, which means you can run the projector 24 hrs
a day 7 days a week with no image distortion. The micromirror
device, or the chip, that the light reflects off is rated for
100,000 hrs of use before you see image determination.
That’s 11.4 years. The DLP light engine is a sealed
optics design, which means that from the lamp or light source
to the lens is completely sealed. This eliminates dust or any
foreign matter from entering into the light engine and
contaminating the image. The projectors are very accessible,
durable and have very few moving parts. The color wheel and the
fan motor are the only parts that actually move and can be
replaced very quickly and at a moments notice in the field.
These projector systems are found all over the world in
Military Command and Control environments. The Video wall
processor drives this system. This processor contains the most
advanced and adaptable processing technology available. This
system allows the operator to seamlessly put up to 6
individualimages of any size at the same time. Any Video
source, computer source or pictures can instantly be inserted
into any window at any time. Presets for this system are
limitless. The sizes of these images can be manipulated
instantly by a click and drag of the mouse.
Spec Ops has several different Mega-Wall
products that are produced for the variety of tents deployed
with the military.
