Video Distribution Unit - VDU

Video Distribution Units (VDU) offer operators the ability to take many video inputs and throw the image to any number of displays. Video outputs are moved between displays by a front panel, button interface or can be moved using Spec Ops' AV Commander Software.

VDU hardware is mounted inside a rugged, transportable and weather resistant case. All input/output connections are located on the backside and display control buttons are cleanly presented on the front of the unit. Network switches are commonly installed so that video distribution can be controlled by the AV Commander software. VDUs support multiple display types including projectors, monitors and TV's. Typical video switch configurations are 8 inputs x 8 outputs and up to 32 x 32. Other configurations are available.

Video displays are significantly enhanced with our Window Wall or Quadview switches. These technologies provide the ability to displays multiple images through one projector or monitor. These separate, multiple images can be moved around the screen and scaled to desired sizes. Window Wall and Quadview applications provide the most powerful visual impact you can find.
